The task ahead

I decided to take a few pictures of the garden and what needs to be done!! It will be a big job but will have to be tackled in stages over the next 3 years or so!!!

But if anyone has any suggestions fire them on or any budding landscaper want to test their skills on a new site I am looking to get some layouts designed, will be doing the work myself but could do with the ideas!!

Great to see a house finished, i am very envious.
I noticed a switch on your stairs, can i ask what its for??
Must start at the start of your story over the weekend and see what tips i'll learn along the way.
Enjoy your house.

It looks like you have a lot of potential for your garden -- a lot of work, too. Enjoy it!

Aidan,
Did you know that there is a software program you can download for free from Google? It's called Sketchup6. Sketchup Pro will cost about $430 or something though. It helps with making quick drawings, for working out ideas 3 dimensionally. I learned how to use it over a weekend. Might help with the landscaping.

Gee, I wish I could come over and help you. I visited Ireland in 2001 in early July, when I was still a married man. We roomed at the Cedar Lodge in Dublin, but saw more of Newgrange than the city's sights. I loved the west much more. Somehow reminded me of home - Colorado. There we stayed in a B&B, Salthill, Galway, the Ontario House. Toured Connemara and the Burren by bus. (Met a couple from Derry whom wanted "away" for the marching season.)
Oddest feeling when flying home, like I'd left a vital part of myself behind.
I want it back! Or another visit to feel whole again.
Is that a faerie fort on your lot!
