Final Pictures - Downstairs
Sorry about the delay but I only got around to taking these this week.
Hi Aiden, Congratulations on a great project. I'm worn out just reading it! Tremendous the drive and energy that comes across allied to an attention to detail that has made for a well-finished job. You must have plenty of the old plamas about you as well, to get so many mates and relations to help out. Also a nice balance between working hard at the day job, keeping up your sport and following the Devils, well done. Very rare to see so much detail on a blog and I feel I've learned a lot just reading it, so thanks for that. However, as someone who has shied away from DIY most of his life it also scares me in terms of us trying to do a similar job, which is why I was reading it in the first place as you can imagine. You seem to be able to turn yourself to any of a hundred jobs quite happily. Did you have previous building experience or is it just the willingness of youth that lets you take on any challenge from floors to insulation to tiling to electrics? We're just going to start with refurbishing an old bungalow and adding an extension. If that works we will then consider taking on a greenfield site down here in Wexford somewhere. Final question, was it worth it? And would you do it again?! Cheers, JK
